Equipment and track The balls were originally made of wood, but are now primarily made of various plastic materials and are provided with (usually) three finger holes. They shall weigh a maximum of 7,257 kg with a maximum circumference of 68.6 cm and a maximum diameter of 21.8 cm. The web has a lacquered wood or laminate cover. The length is 19.2 m from an abutment line to the pit behind the cones, 18.29 m to the center of the first cone. The width is 1.06 m, and on both sides of the course there are boom gutters that catch bullets coming out. Before the line of betting, the player can run up to 4.6 m. The cones are of wood with plastic coating or of plastic only, 38.1 cm high with bottom diameter 5.7 cm and weight approx. 1.5 kg.
